On Amir, Ph.D. is an expert in the fields of marketing and consumer behavior. In addition to his work with Intensity, Dr. Amir is an Associate Professor at the Rady School of Management at the University of California, San Diego, where he teaches graduate level classes in marketing, analytics, psychology, and strategy.  His research has been published in many peer-reviewed academic journals and business publications including:

Dr. Amir has been recognized with honors and awards for his research from the Marketing Science Institute and from the Robert Woods Johnson Foundation, and he is frequently invited to present at academic and industry conferences. Dr. Amir has held roles as Visiting Associate Professor of Marketing at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, Visiting Professor of Marketing at the Interdisciplinary Center School of Management in Herzliya, Israel, and Assistant Professor of Marketing at Yale University.

Dr. Amir earned a B.S. degree in Computer Science from Israeli Open University in Tel Aviv, Israel, in 1999 and his Ph.D. in management science and marketing from MIT’s Sloan School of Management in 2003.
