Panasonic Awarded Damages in Exact Amount of Intensity Expert’s Testimony

Mr. Dominic Persechini of Intensity provided trial testimony on behalf of Panasonic in patent litigation involving Getac’s laptop designs. Based on the testimony of Mr. Persechini, the jury awarded damages of $17.5 million.

Mr. Dominic Persechini, Managing Director at Intensity, was engaged by Haynes and Boone and Crowell & Moring on behalf of Panasonic in litigation alleging that two lines of rugged laptops produced by Getac, Inc. and Getac Technology Corp. infringed three design patents held by Panasonic Holding Corp. The patents in question relate to the rugged design of the laptops.

During his work, Mr. Persechini conducted an economic analysis and provided trial testimony to determine the amount of Getac profits to be disgorged as damages due to Getac’s infringement.
