Alex Smith specializes in applied economics. He has particular expertise in financial economics. He is skilled with performing various financial analyses, conducting economic and industry research, and writing memorandums and reports.
Prior to Intensity, Mr. Smith applied his expertise as an analyst intern at a bank where he performed cash flow and financial statement analyses, conducted market research, authored investment reviews, and wrote and reviewed underwriting memorandums. Further, he has experience as an undergraduate research assistant where he developed a research project to examine the effect of national accounting revisions on real GDP estimates.
Mr. Smith earned his B.S. in Managerial Economics with a focus on Finance, summa cum laude, from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Level I Candidate.
