Michael Wagner, J.D., M.B.A., CPA

Michael Wagner, J.D., M.B.A., CPA is a Senior Advisor at Intensity who has a storied career as an economic expert with sustained excellence in the courtroom. He has testified in over 140 trials and has provided more than 370 depositions, many in high-stakes litigation matters involving patent infringement, trade secret misappropriation, copyright infringement, trademark infringement, breach of contract, business torts, class actions, and bankruptcy. He also has extensive experience in industries such as biotechnology, high technology, internet, real estate, semiconductors, and telecommunications.

Mr. Wagner is a prolific author, who has published numerous articles in CPA Expert, IP Law360, Journal of Accountancy, Dunn on Damages, to just name a few. He is also the founding editor and a contributing author of the book “Litigation Services Handbook: The Role of the Financial Expert” through the first four editions of the book, which has been cited as a standard reference for determining financial damages.

In addition to his publishing efforts, Mr. Wagner has given more than 60 speeches on a variety of litigation and dispute resolutions topics, as well on the contribution of accounting standards in litigation support.

Mr. Wagner has been a member of the State Bar of California and was a California Certified Public Accountant for 34 years. He also held numerous affiliations, some of which include Certification in Financial Forensics, California Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the AICPA among many others.

Mr. Wagner earned a Juris Doctor degree from Loyola University at Los Angeles. Prior to law school, Mr. Wagner graduated with an M.B.A. from the University of California at Los Angeles and received his B.S. in Engineering from the University of Santa Clara.
